What this tool does

Keep only the useful part of a recording, or remove a mistake. Select the area on the waveform, listen to it, add fades, then export as MP3 or WAV.

What is kept

  • The sound of the chosen part, with a short fade at each cut so it never clicks
  • The original volume, unless you change it

Good to know

  • The file is re-encoded: the export is not a bit-for-bit copy of the original
  • Readable formats: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC

Tips

  • The “Voice” preset slightly raises the volume for a memo or interview
  • Choose WAV if you will keep editing the file
